Police claimed on Thursday to have resolved the mysterious death of a man, whose body was recovered from the trunk of a car in the R A Bazaar area around 12 days ago, arresting his three friends. The murder suspects turned out to be three friends of the deceased, who tortured and killed the latter for not spending money on a party. The suspects locked the body in the trunk of the car and parked the car in a deserted place to hide their offence. Police investigations revealed that on December 17, the tortured body of Abdul Wahab of Islamabad was found in the trunk of a car parked in the Ghaziabad area of R A Bazaar. The deceased's brother, Arbab Akram told the police that his brother dealt in the property business and married twice. The victim recently divorced his second wife, who was demanding expenses, etc. He initially suspected that the woman might have planned the murder in collaboration with someone. However, the police registered a case, started an investigation and found some evidence that three friends were in close contact with the victim. The investigation further revealed that Abdul Wahab's friends Ali Hussain, Ghulam Habib and Farid often hosted parties with the deceased. On the day of the incident, the suspects had an argument with the deceased over not spending money as usual, during which the accused severely tortured the deceased, which led to his death.
