Kendrick Lamar's music streams have surged by an 49 percent while Drake’s numbers went down by 4.9 percent since the rapper engaged in their recent ongoing feud. The increase encompasses not only Lamar’s recent diss tracks but his entire music catalog as well. From May 3-6, Lamar's diss track 'Meet the Grahams' garnered 8.8 million streams, 'Euphoria' amassed 27.6 million 'US on-demand audio streams', and it reached the eleventh position on this week's Hot 100 chart, according to Luminate’s weekly ratings published by Billboard. During the same weekend, Drake dropped ‘Family Matters’ in retaliation to Lamar's ‘Euphoria’ and "6:16 in LA". In the song, Drake accuses Lamar of having one of his children biologically fathered by Dave Free, Lamar's friend and label co-founder. Additionally, he alleges that Lamar is both a domestic abuser and unfaithful to his fiancée, Whitney Alford. The next day after ‘Family Matters’ dropped, Kendrick Lamar unveiled ‘Not Like Us.’ In the song, Lamar called Drake and people in his inner circle as pedophiles, saying: "Say, Drake, I hear you like 'em young, You better not ever go to cell block one." Lamar also mentioned Baka Not Nice, a member of Drake's security team, in relation to his past alleged involvement sex trafficking, assault, and robbery of a 22 year old woman. ‘Not Like Us’, accumulated 21.1 million streams in the initial three days following its release. On May 5th, Drake dropped ‘The Heart Part 6’, a reference to Lamar's ‘The Heart’ series and continuing from Lamar's well-received ‘The Heart Part 5’. In the track, Drake denied allegations made by Lamar in ‘Not Like Us.’ Drake also persisted in asserting instances of domestic violence within Kendrick Lamar's relationship with Alford, and alleged that Lamar had been absent from seeing his children for six months. Drake’s accusations, however, could not prevent Lamar's complete discography surging in streams from May 3-6, totaling 50.62 million, marking a 49 percent increase compared to April 26-29, when his music was streamed 33.98 million times. Over the same timeframe, Drake's streams decreased by 4.9 percent. The singer of 'Passionfruit' amassed a total of 105.9 million streams for his entire catalog from April 26-29, which dropped to 100.7 million from May 3-6. A security guard sustained severe injuries in a shooting at the Toronto mansion of a Canadian rapper on the morning of May 7th. Days later, police officials also apprehended an individual for purportedly trying to trespass the Toronto mansion. As a consolation for Drake, his overall streaming figures are approximately double those of Lamar's.
