In a significant development in the murder case of Mustafa Aamir, a young man abducted and killed in Karachi's Defence area, police have arrested four individuals, including the son of renowned actor Sajid Hasan. According to Express News, the arrests were made following revelations by detained suspects Armaghan and Shiraz. Law enforcement agencies conducted raids in various Defence areas, leading to the apprehension of the four individuals. Sources indicate that among those arrested is the son of actor Sajid Hasan. The police have confirmed that all four suspects, including the actor's son, have been detained on charges of drug trafficking and will be interrogated accordingly. The police have also informed the families of the arrested individuals about their detention. Furthermore, authorities have submitted a report to the Anti-Terrorism Court, revealing that the suspects had previously assaulted a woman a day before Mustafa Aamir's murder. In the latest development, the court has granted a five-day physical remand to the police for further investigation of the suspects. Armughan, who has a previous criminal history, remains at the centre of the probe as police uncover more details about his activities. According to police records, Armughan was implicated in several serious crimes since 2019, including terrorism, attempted murder, narcotics trafficking, and extortion. Over the years, he faced charges in multiple police stations, including Darakhshan, Sahil, Gizri, Boat Basin, and ANF. During questioning in the remand room, Armughan confessed to taking measures to cover his tracks before his arrest. He admitted to deleting all data from the laptops at his home, hindering investigators' ability to retrieve critical evidence. Armughan further revealed that he personally drove the car from Khyaban-e-Momin in DHA to the Daraji area in Balochistan, where Mustafa Amir's body was disposed of. It also came to light that Armughan had been running an illegal software house and call centre from his home in Gizri. This illicit operation allegedly defrauded foreign clients of millions of dollars over the years. He also set up several digital currency accounts, which were used for money laundering. Armughan resisted arrest for several hours, attempting to prevent police from reaching the laptops he had wiped clean. The key suspect, Armaghan, was implicated in the brutal killing of Mustafa, and blood samples found at Armaghan’s residence matched those of the victim’s mother, further implicating him in the crime. According to reports, Mustafa was killed inside Armaghan’s house using a metal rod and gunshots. During the violent assault, Mustafa’s blood was found on the carpet. DNA reports provided to the police confirmed that the blood samples found at Armaghan’s house matched those taken from Mustafa’s mother. Additionally, a disturbing audio recording surfaced, reportedly Mustafa’s last, in which he told a friend that he was heading to Armaghan’s house and suggested that his friend should join him after finishing his work. This recording raised significant questions about the police investigation, as it suggested that Mustafa’s friend may have known about his last whereabouts, yet failed to inform the authorities for over a month. Further revelations came from Armaghan’s friend, Shiraz, who claimed that Mustafa and Armaghan had a dispute over a girl during New Year’s Eve. The disagreement led to Armaghan luring Mustafa to his house under false pretenses on January 6, where he violently killed him. Afterward, Armaghan and Shiraz transported Mustafa’s body in a car to a remote area in Balochistan, where they set the vehicle on fire to destroy evidence. The two suspects walked for three hours before hitching a ride back to Karachi. Investigation officials stated that the girl involved in the dispute left for overseas on January 12, and efforts were underway to contact her through Interpol.
