Ben Affleck back in the dating game as he is legally single after Jennifer Lopez divorce

Ben Affleck is back on the dating scene. The “Accountant” actor has been “casually dating” since he and ex-wife Jennifer Lopez finalized their divorce on January 6, according to a report by People published on Friday.   “This doesn’t seem to be a focus though,” the insider added.   At the moment, the Oscar winner is said to be prioritizing his career. The source explained, “If he’s not filming, he spends long days at his office.”   When he’s not working, the 52-year-old spends a significant amount of time with his three children from his previous marriage to Jennifer Garner: Violet, 19, Seraphina, 16, and Samuel, 12.   The source also mentioned that Affleck shares a particularly strong bond with his son.   News of the actor’s dating life follows TMZ’s report on Friday that his marriage to Lopez was officially dissolved by the Los Angeles County Superior Court, and both were legally declared single.   After reconnecting in early 2021—nearly two decades after calling off their initial engagement—Affleck and Lopez married in 2022, but their relationship ended two years later.   Lopez, 55, filed for divorce from the “Gone Girl” star on their second wedding anniversary, August 20, 2024.   While Page Six previously reported that Affleck had been seen spending time with Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s 36-year-old daughter, Kick Kennedy, in the same month Lopez filed for divorce, he wasn’t interested in dating immediately after the split.   In December 2024, a source told the outlet that Affleck was primarily “focused on numerous projects he’s working on.”   He’s “still adjusting to the single life,” the insider said at the time. “Ben has no interest in jumping into another relationship at the moment.”   Now that some time has passed, he appears to be slowly re-entering the dating world.
