Drug possession case against Mustafa Amir closed

An Anti-Narcotics Court on Monday disposed of a drugs case against the late Mustafa Amir after receiving his death certificate from police. Mustafa Amir, a youth from a posh locality of the city, was kidnapped and brutally murdered allegedly by Armughan Qureshi and his accomplice last month. His murder investigations revealed a series of narcotics supply cases in high society. Mustafa himself was an absconder in a drugs possession case registered at ANF Korangi station last year. The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Korangi station SHO presented the death certificate and other documents of the deceased in which Mustafa Amir's name was mentioned as Amir, alias Taimur, son of Amir Shuja. The court closed the case on the statement of the SHO that the absconding accused was dead. Mustafa's accomplices, Ammar Hameed and Faisal Yaqoob, were declared absconders in the case. The court once again issued non-bailable arrest warrants for both of them. Arrest warrants were issued against Mustafa Amir on February 22 in a case registered in 2024. However, now that he is dead, his case was closed by the court. 'Interrogate Armughan's father' Meanwhile, Wajiha Amir, the mother of Mustafa Amir has said that she is satisfied with the investigation into her son's murder. "The accused Armughan falls silent for hours after uttering a single sentence. Shiraz is not a witness but a partner in the crime of murdering my son," she said, adding, it was Shiraz's idea of dumping the body of Mustafa in Hub. Talking to the media, Wajiha further said that she has been threatened since day one in Mustafa's case. Armughan is very cunning, it is not easy to handle him, that is why police are repeatedly obtaining his remand.
