CTD nabs 'criminal' from Tarbela Dam clerk's home

The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has arrested an alleged criminal and absconder from the residence of a senior clerk associated with the security department of the Tarbela Dam. The weaknesses within the WAPDA security force have become a security risk for the Tarbela Dam. The suspect was transferred to Peshawar for further interrogation. Sources said that a CTD team carried out a secret operation on Tuesday, arresting Nasib Khan, a wanted fugitive involved in various crimes, from the residence of senior clerk Sahil Khan, who is a permanent resident of Kohat but currently lives at House D-27, Mehran Colony, Tarbela. The local police were kept completely unaware of the incident, they said and added that Nasib, a man in his early 30s, had been staying at Sahil's house for a long time, with frequent visits. Sources claim that Nasib is Sahil Khan's cousin, and he is originally from Afghanistan. Allegedly, his connections extend deep into Afghanistan, and he has been involved in undesirable and criminal activities. It is reported that after committing crimes, Nasib Khan would frequently visit Sahil's residence in Tarbela, where he would reportedly boast to neighbours about his criminal exploits to intimidate them. Residents of Mehran Colony filed several complaints with the Tarbela administration against the suspect, but interventions from unseen forces prevented any action from being taken.
