Toll tax at motorways to rise from 1st

The National Highway Authority (NHA) has announced another increase in toll tax rates for national highways, motorways and expressways, marking the second hike this year. The revised tariffs will take effect on April 1. According to the latest notification, Rs70 will now be charged for cars, Rs150 for wagons, Rs250 for buses, Rs300 for two- and three-axle trucks, and Rs550 for large articulated trucks. Toll rates on major motorways, including M1, M3, M4, M5, M14, and E-35 expressway, have also been revised. For the M1 motorway that connects Islamabad and Peshawar, the toll for cars has been increased from Rs500 to Rs550. On the M3 route—from Lahore to Abdul Hakeem—the tax has risen from Rs700 to Rs800. The toll for cars travelling on the M4 motorway—from Pindi Bhattian to Faisalabad and Multan—has increased from Rs950 to Rs1,050. For the M5 route—between Multan and Sukkur, the toll has been raised from Rs1,100 to Rs1,200. Motorists on the M14 motorway from Dera Ismail Khan to Hakla will now pay Rs650, up from Rs600. Toll tax on the Hassan Abdal–Havelian–Mansehra expressway (E-35) has increased from Rs250 to Rs300 for motor cars, with larger vehicles also experiencing a rise in charges across all motorways and expressways.
