The overwhelming turnout is partly due to the belief that Laylat Al Qadr, or the Night of Power, could fall on one of the odd-numbered nights during the last ten days of Ramadan. Many pilgrims intentionally perform prayers on these nights, hoping to experience the blessings believed to be greater than a thousand months. The 23rd night, in particular, saw a marked increase in worshippers.
