Acting on medical advice, the King postponed his engagements for both Thursday and Friday as a precaution. The King had been scheduled to meet with ambassadors on Thursday and attend four public events in Birmingham the following day. All were postponed. “His Majesty offers his deepest apologies to all those who may be inconvenienced or disappointed,” a palace spokesperson said, adding that he hopes to reschedule the engagements in due course.
