Ashley Surcombe, a British influencer known for her gaming, fashion, and travel content, is currently in the ICU after being discovered unresponsive at her residence in Seoul, South Korea. On March 24, 2025, Ashley was found with a black eye and in a severely dehydrated state after failing to respond to calls and messages from friends. Concerned, her family reached out to the authorities, prompting a police intervention. Upon breaking into Ashley's home, authorities found her unconscious in her bathroom, and she was immediately rushed to the hospital. Her sister, Kat, provided a heartfelt update on Ashley’s condition via Instagram on March 27, 2025. In her post, Kat shared a photo of Ashley in the hospital, with tubes inserted into her nose and mouth. "I’ve created a Go Fund Me on behalf of my parents who have found themselves financially responsible for Ashley’s medical fees and bringing her back home – we as a family just don’t have the means to cover the mounting costs," Kat wrote. Ashley, who has gained a following of 464,000 on Instagram, has been diagnosed with multiple organ failure and severe dehydration, though the extent of her injuries remains unknown. The family has also confirmed that Ashley’s health insurance expired, leaving them to cover the medical costs out-of-pocket. To date, the GoFundMe campaign has raised £17,782 of its £50,000 goal. The funds will help cover the ICU costs, hospital stays, medical tests, and the flight expenses needed to bring Ashley back to the UK once she is stable. "Unfortunately, Ashley’s health insurance recently expired, meaning all medical costs must be paid out-of-pocket. My parents have already paid a £3,000 deposit just for her treatment, and the expenses are quickly adding up," Kat explained in her post. Kat described how Ashley appeared confused and extremely dehydrated during their last conversation. "She told us she hit her head against the door and got a nasty bruise on her eye. Her blood sugar levels are very low and when we spoke with her on Saturday, she seemed confused, and you could barely see her lips she was so dehydrated." As of now, Ashley remains in critical care in South Korea. Her family remains hopeful for her recovery and expresses gratitude to those who have supported her through the GoFundMe campaign.
