India has reportedly blocked the YouTube channel of former Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi, after he exposed the Modi government's propaganda surrounding the Pahalgam attack. Former Pakistan cricket captain Shahid Afridi has strongly criticised India for its recent threats against Pakistan, saying that New Delhi is attempting to intimidate Pakistan but cannot match the strength and training of the Pakistani military. Speaking on a private television programme, Afridi said, “They are trying to scare us, but we have been in a state of conflict for a long time. Our army is so well trained now that they simply cannot match us.” Addressing India’s accusations of terrorism, Afridi added, “Who supports terrorism? Neither our country nor our religion supports it. We have been fighting terrorism for years. Our religion promotes peace.” As Afridi exposed Indian propaganda and false narratives, India has reportedly blocked his YouTube channel along with 15 other Pakistani channels, including those of former cricketers Rashid Latif, Shoaib Akhtar, and Basit Ali. Afridi’s remarks follow India's allegations linking Pakistan to the recent Pahalgam attack. In response, Afridi previously called the attack a "false flag operation" and labelled the Modi government as "inept". His comments triggered a backlash from former Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan, who criticised Afridi in a social media post. In a light-hearted yet defiant response, Afridi posted a picture on platform X wearing a military-style shirt and holding a cup of tea, offering Dhawan a symbolic “chai.” Earlier, Afridi questioned the security lapse, stating, “Even if a firecracker goes off there, Pakistan is blamed. You have 800,000 troops in Kashmir, and still this happened. It means you're incompetent and can't provide security to your own people.”
