Electoral rolls for AJK to be issued on April 30

MUZAFFARABAD: The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Election Commission has issued a fresh schedule for the preparation, revision and correction of electoral rolls across the state for 2026. According to a notification issued on Thursday, the final electoral rolls will be published on April 30, 2026.

The process for new enrolments and submission of data for draft rolls that began from March 24 will continue until April 7. The National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) will complete the provision of preliminary electoral data by April 10, following which initial rolls will be published for public inspection on April 13.

Citizens will be able to file claims for inclusion, correction of entries or objections against irrelevant names from April 13 to April 17 at the designated offices. Hearings on the received applications will be conducted from April 17 to April 20, and all decisions will be communicated to the registration officers by April 21. After incorporation of all amendments and corrections, the final electoral rolls will be published on April 30.
