Wife, involved with another, kills husband after divorce denial in Karachi

Karachi's Sohrab Goth police have arrested three individuals, including a woman, her father, and her brother, in connection with the murder of her husband. The victim, 28-year-old Shahid Ali, was reportedly strangled to death by his wife, Noor Sameena, who attempted to stage the crime as a suicide. Police sources confirmed that the victim's body was found on December 22 in a residence in Scheme 33, Jamali Goth. Responding to a call, authorities arrived at the scene and transported the body to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for an autopsy. Upon identification, the police recorded statements from Noor Sameena, but her account contradicted the evidence. The woman claimed that she had found her husband’s body hanging from a ceiling fan upon waking up, and she immediately informed his brother. She also stated that she lowered the body herself and placed it on a chair. However, further investigation, including the post-mortem report, revealed inconsistencies in her story.
