Michael Lohan arrested for felony assault after alleged altercation with wife Kate Major

Michael Lohan, father of actress Lindsay Lohan, has reportedly been arrested on a felony assault charge in Texas. According to TMZ, citing court documents, Lohan was taken into custody on Saturday on a "continuous violence against the family" charge. The Harris County Sheriff's Office stated that the incident came to light when Lohan’s wife, Kate Major, disclosed the alleged assault during a medical examination. She reportedly told deputies that her husband flipped her out of a chair at their home several days prior, causing her pain and discomfort. A female deputy who examined Major allegedly observed bruises before questioning Lohan. Authorities subsequently arrested him at his residence without incident. Michael Lohan’s bond has been set at $30,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on Monday to address the charges. This is not Lohan’s first brush with legal trouble, as he has had prior run-ins with the law over domestic issues.
