Amid weeks of speculation, a source close to Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell has finally addressed the swirling dating rumours between the Anyone But You co-stars. Following Sweeney’s recent split from fiancé Jonathan Davino, fans reignited talk of a potential romance between the actress and Powell—but insiders now say there’s no relationship beyond a close friendship. A source told The US Sun, “Sydney and Glen have a very close relationship and bonded over their work together. Same sense of humour and both get on well. SNL showed how well they get on.” The insider added, “Could be romance one day but ultimately they are just close friends at the moment. He has been a great support.” The pair first sparked speculation in 2023 while promoting their romantic comedy, sharing flirtatious onstage moments and behind-the-scenes snaps. Despite their undeniable chemistry, both Sweeney and Powell have maintained that their relationship is strictly platonic. Sweeney called off her wedding to businessman Jonathan Davino recently due to ongoing relationship issues, with sources confirming the couple is “not having further discussions” about future plans.
