Alleged school harassment gang busted

The City police claimed to have arrested the notorious ringleader and three members of a gang involved in abductions, hooliganism and harassment of schoolchildren in Haripur. Police said that some people attempted to abduct a grade 9 student at gunpoint near Office Chowk. Based on the complainant's report, a case was registered against unknown assailants under sections 364 A/511 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC). City SHO Ejaz Ali, who was flanked by his team conducted the operation and managed to arrest Aqib Salamat of Darband, who is currently living in Mohalla Babu. Aqib is the ringleader of the notorious "302 Group" in Haripur. Additionally, suspects Amir Khan, a resident of Darband but currently living in Mohalla Babu, Nadeem of Darband but currently living in Makhan Colony, and Usama of Kohistan but currently living in Sikandar Pur, were also arrested. The police said that investigations with the arrested accused are ongoing and that further sensational revelations are expected.
