Govt hikes petrol prices to Rs458 per litre

Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik announced on Thursday that the prices of petrol was being hiked to Rs458.5 per litre and that of high speed diesel to Rs520.35 per litre.

At the outset of the press briefing, Malik expressed gratitude to President Asif Ali Zardari, chief ministers of all provinces and the leadership of the ruling party’s allies for their guidance at this “critical time”.
